I started a custom mixtape company back in 1992 "Rican - Brooklyn Bad Boy Productions" a.k.a. "R.BX3 Productions" from there I started helping artists write & record music so in 2009 I opened up my first recording studio. Today I am now an artist on this very same label so welcome to my journey....
My style comes from my unique wide variety of genres and my life experiences plus my deep passion for music since I was a child. I came up in the rebel & outlaw era where survival wasn't for the weak and only the strong & smart ones survived the streets and as you see I'm still here today.
I started making personal mixtapes where you would pick whatever songs you wanted on your mixtape and I would put them together and create your own personal mixtape. I started making personal mixtapes where you would pick whatever songs you wanted on your mixtape and I would put them together and create your own personal mixtape. What happen was I stepped into a music recording studio and fell in love with recording & engineering, but I quickly learn that this was a real grimy business especially for artists trying to come up that don't have crazy funds at their disposalsI so I created a label that was able to help myself and others get their music out there so in 2009 I opened up my music label, but like I said this is a very grimy business and I quickly learned you can't help everybody, but I still try because no one ever gave me a shot.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York where I earned my street cred real young and developed a passion for music at a very young age because it was my escape from the dysfunctional family I came from. The first 3 things I learned was how to take care of myself, drugs, & violence which kind of ran in the same circle. By the early 80's I was shot and shot at several times to where one put me in a wheelchair and almost ended my life, but my love for the streets was so deep that once I got out of the wheelchair I was back on the streets like nothing had happened and when you don't change your path your destiny will always be the same. I kept wilding on these streets, but in 1986 I met someone who would come and change my life even though it took many years later. See because to this very day I still got love for these streets, but I also learned that today's streets don't respect the street rules so in 2009 I open up my first music recording studio and I also became an artist under the same label. by 2011 I was already getting booked for shows in small spots but I wasn't mad because I was finally getting paid to do something I had been doing for free since 2009. 2012 comes in and around January 14th I lose my eye sight due to retina detachments so everything stops, but thanks to new technology & surgeries late in 2013 I got my vision back. Early 2014 I get my first single up on iTunes and 27 other online music stores, but then came contract disputes where I did all the work but everyone one else was getting paid and that went on until 2017 and by then I had a grandson and he took up most of my free time and he's what kept me from going back in these streets because I got bills to pay and people to take care of and I'm a man first I don't make excuses I make it happen. It's something my grandfather taught me and I never forgot it. 2020 come around I'm working on music again then March 2020 Covid-19 hits and yes I get hit with it, but beat it but not without it causing some damage so in August 2020 I have a massive heart attack come to find out all 4 arteries to my heart were blocked 100% to where the blood was now seeping in my stomach so I needed a emergency bypass and they did and yes I agreed with the doctors "I should be dead" but I'm not. By November 2020 I'm power walking 3 miles a day so things are starting to look good again. so now I'm focused on music and I'm focused on getting better and anyone that writes knows that a writer never stops writing and a creator never stops creating. February 2, 2021 I go for my morning walk and the only way I can explain it is my foot just snapped and on April 23, 2021 I lost my foot. so fast forward to 2024 after a lengthly recovery and learning how to walk again I never gave up on my dream because a wise man once told me "A winner never quits and a quitter never wins which one are you?" So I hope you like my music as much as I like making it and thank you for your support.
